Had the lid on mine fail too   My Royal 55 lasted about 6 months before the lid failed. Will not latch shut now, well it will once in a blue moon, but it wont stay shut - it will open as soon as you knock it against something. Can only give it 3 stars because of that. Good lighter but there is a problem with the lid   As far as functionality this lighter rocks. The triple flame ensures a perfect light everytime. The punch cutter to me provides the best way to get a good draw without ruining the cigar. My complaint is with the lid. I have two Nibo Royal 55 lighters and on both of them the lid does not stay closed. Because of that I can only give it 4 stars.   Reviewed by:  Edwin Grant from New Jersey. on 8/6/2009
